Abstract

This scientific article examines the current state and prospects of using phytogenic additives in feeding laying hens. The analysis of the scientific literature of domestic and foreign works and statistical data on the effectiveness of phytogenic additives used in poultry farming was carried out. Special attention is paid to the practical aspects of using phytogenic additives, taking into account regional conditions, including the analysis of technological factors hindering their widespread use. Based on the analysis of best practices and regional specifics, specific actions are proposed for the introduction of phytogenic additives in poultry farms in the Amur region. This study shows that the proper use of phytogenic additives can increase the profitability of egg production by increasing productivity by up to 8%. The analysis revealed the following main problems: the lack of comprehensive research taking into account regional specifics, the high cost of high-quality phytogenic additives and the lack of recommendations on their use and adaptation to the conditions of the Far Eastern region. In the future, the solution to these problems is seen through the development of a regional scientific base and the creation of domestic analogues of phytogenic feed additives based on local plant raw materials.
